Context:

AXELOS announced the launch of ITiL® 4, the next evolution of ITIL® in October 2017 for release in 1st March 2019. ITIL® is the most popular ITSM methodology in the world. ITIL is at the heart of all service desk functions and tools used globally. This IT Tech Giant realized early on the need to stay abreast of the changes sweeping the area of IT service Management. It was imperative that key personnel needed to have their skills upgraded, so that the organization could be ready to launch internal capacity building by the launch of the IT framework

Solution:

Our Key consultants were certified by Axelos in November 2018, and these consultants in turn worked closely with the IT Service Provider, to identify potential internal champions, train them and equip them. A multi-dimensional approach was followed wherein class room training, online learning solutions and detailed content was created and provided between the period Dec 2018 and Feb 2019. Two Champions were trained and certified as ITIL 4 accredited trainers with the mission to spread the light.

Result:

The initial launch of ITIL 4 was organized working with the Axelos team in March 2019. The IT Major has two internal ITIL 4 accredited trainers who have been creating a workforce trained and certified on ITIL. The IT Organization is now on a journey of equipping its global workforce on the knowledge of ITIL 4 with many persons trained and certified across three continents.
